Did Tennis Star Taylor Fritz Intentionally Like a Homophobic Post?

Tennis star Taylor Fritz has some explaining to do. The world No. 10-ranked player recently found himself in some hot water with sports fans when he appeared to like a homophobic social media post from American MMA fighter Sean Strickland.
As reported by Sportskeeda, Strickland posted a number of tweets on X raging against Pride Month (months early, btw) and why the month of celebration is needed at all.
Strickland alleged that America's founding fathers would "press the reset button" if they saw what society has become today.
"Could you picture Washington seeing pride month," he wrote. "Is this to honor the war of independence?"
Ignorance is apparently bliss for Strickland, but not for Fritz who said he had a "heart attack" when he received word that he seemingly endorsed the post. Fritz wrote that he most likely liked the comment by mistake while going through Strickland's X account.
"Holy shit I just got sent this and had a heart attack.... I DEFINITELY didn't purposefully like this, I was looking at Stricklands profile a couple days ago cause of all the news he was in while in Vegas," he tweeted. "I had to of accidentally liked that while scrolling the replies but wow just want to make it clear for anyone that doesn't know me i absolutely don't stand for any of this and if u we're to look at my likes it's either all gaming/tennis things I would NEVER do that on purpose."
Sounds like it was an honest mistake on Fritz's part who has just clinched the No. 1 player slot in America after the ATP 250 tournament.
