'Thunder Thighs' Video Celebrates Women's Bodies

"Thunder Thighs," a new video from Brooklyn-based musician, artist, designer and director Miss Eaves, aims to make women feel good about their bodies.

A Jezebel article takes a look at the video, which features a gaggle of gorgeous women and girls who take to the stoops and streets of Bed-Stuy to flaunt their thick thighs.

The clip below states, "thick thighs, sundress, I'm looking good" over an electro bass jam. Eaves told Jezebel that "I love wearing sundresses, so in the summer chub rub is a constant struggle. I wrote 'Thunder Thighs' last summer after a particularly hot day when I came home and started listening to a beat KEISHH sent me. Thanks to a lifetime of experience having thick thighs, I was able to write the song in about an hour."

The video was co-directed with April Maxey, with a cast of friends and volunteer actors from a casting agency. Eaves said it was important to her to feature a variety of body types. It was filmed around Eaves' block in Brooklyn, with the help of locals like her neighborhood ice cream man.

Eaves said she was particularly happy to feature the video's young star, Brianna, about whom she said, "it is so important from a young age they see a variety of bodies being celebrated and people living happy and genuine lives."

Eaves also runs an style blog called "the Every Body Project" on Instagram.

"Thunder Thighs" is the follow-up to Miss Eaves's acclaimed self-pleasure anthem "Hump Day," and the first single from her forthcoming album "Feminasty," out August 4.
