Erasure, an electronic/synthpop duo consisting of singer Andy Bell and keyboardist Vince Clarke, have been making music for nearly 30 years, courting millions of fans, many of them gay, along the way. Andy Bell was one of the first pop stars to come out as gay, and has been named by such media outlets as MTV and Logo as an enduring "gay icon."

Erasure's fans rejoiced this summer as news and details regarding their upcoming studio album, "The Violet Flame," were revealed. The album is available for purchase in stores on September 23, and to promote the 10-track record, Erasure is going on a world tour. Florida Erasure fans will be happy to know that the tour's first three concert dates are all right here in the Sunshine State. The tour kicks off on Friday, September 12 at 8:30 p.m. with a performance at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. After that, they make a stop in Orlando at the House of Blues on Saturday, September 13 at 8 p.m. They finish their three days in Florida with an appearance at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg on Sunday, September 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Erasure released their debut album in 1986, and since then they have amassed seventeen top ten singles on the UK pop charts. In the United States, three songs charted in the top twenty on the Billboard Hot 100: "A Little Respect," "Chains of Love," and "Always." In addition, seventeen songs have charted in the top ten of the Billboard Dance Charts, including the number one singles "Victim of Love" and "Breathe." Their most recent top ten dance single, "Be With You," was released in 2011. The duo has sold over 25 million albums worldwide.

Tickets are available for all three Florida dates, ranging from general admission seats to VIP packages. The VIP package can be purchased for any Florida date by going to pledgemusic.com/projects/erasure and selecting "VIP Concert Ticket - North America + AccessPass." For 100 (billed onto your bank statement as approximately $166), you will be entitled to one VIP concert ticket at either the Fillmore, House of Blues, or the Mahaffey. You will collect your ticket from the box office on the night of the performance, and you will also get to participate in a meet and greet with Andy Bell and Vince Clarke either before or after the show. Also, a copy of "The Violet Flame" will be mailed to you once it is released. Your ticket price includes the cost of postage and packaging for the CD to be mailed to you. No worries!
