Scottish actor Thomas Doherty stripped and teased on the set of HBOMax's reboot of "Gossip Girl" on Monday by "flaunting his cut figure in a pair of grape-colored Tom Ford underwear and a silken gold robe," writes the Daily Mail.

"The Scottish actor, 25, allowed the robe to open up in the autumnal breeze as he strode next to some production trailers, clearly enjoying the attention."

The 6-foot, 25 year old Doherty is best-known for his role of Harry Hook, the son of Captain Hook, starting with the second film in the "Descendents" franchise. Prior to that he appeared as a mountain-biking hotel employee on Disney's music/drama series "The Lodge." More recently he appeared in the CW series "Legacies" as Sebastian. He also played Lisa Bonet's love interest on Hulu's "High Fidelity." And, no surprise, in August 2017 Doherty was named one of the 50 fittest boys in the world by Vogue magazine.

There still isn't any word as just who Doherty is playing in the series, or what his sexual bent may be. But expect a decidedly queer reboot; according to showrunner Joshua Safran, it will be "very, very queer."

Then when asked by fan as to how much homoeroticism to expect on the show, Safran responded, "Well, considering we have many queer characters, a lot?"

In July 2019, Deadline reported that "HBO Max has ordered 10 hourlong episodes of a reimagined version of the pop culture phenomenon that made household names of stars such as Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick."

Deadline describes the reboot this way: "Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years."

COVID pushed the show's premiere from this past fall to 2021. Shooting began in late October in NYC. In a nod to the old show, a recent photo caught the new cast members on the steps of the Met, including Lind, Brown, Peak, Evan Mock, Zión Moreno, Thomas Doherty, Jordan Alexander, Savannah Lee Smith, and Tavi Gevinson. "The original 'Gossip Girl' characters were known to hang near the NYC landmark, albeit with far preppier clothing," writes ELLE in a story about the reboot.
