Jacob Moore, a freshman gymnast at the University of Michigan, came forward this week and became the first male athlete to accuse disgraced doctor Larry Nassar of sexual abuse.

Nassar has been accused of abusing over 260 young girls and women during his decades-long career as a team doctor for U.S.A. Gymnastics and Michigan State University. He is serving three concurrent sentences that total 175 years in prison on child sexual abuse and child porn charges.

Moore, 18, became the first male to accuse Nassar in a federal lawsuit filed last week, alleging the former doctor molested him in 2016 when he was 16 years old, CNN reports.

Speaking out about the alleged incident, the teen said Nassar abused him when he sought treatment for a shoulder injury two years ago.

"I wasn't a dumb kid, I knew kind of what medical practices were and that one was out of the ordinary," Moore said Tuesday on the "Today" show. "Coming out of the treatment, I felt very uncomfortable."

Things made more sense for Moore after the allegations against Nassar made the news, sparking the teen to do his own research into the medical treatment he received from the doctor.

"Having found nothing, I kind of freaked out," Moore said. "It was just very shocking."

Moore said he and his sister, who also accuses the doctor of abuse, visited with Nassar for eight years, adding he was "good friends" with his mother.

"Me and my sister shouldn't be able to relate over the fact that we've both been abused," Moore told "Today." "That's just really sickening to me that he would violate a trust like that, and the things that he did were just awful."

"I hope he rots in hell," he said in his interview.

Moore also spoke with Megyn Kelly on her morning show, adding: "I hope it never happens again. No one should have to go through this."
