Facebook users who wanted to show some extra LGBTQ Pride love on the social media platform this month will be a bit bummed out.

Unlike years past, Facebook revealed it will no longer add its popular rainbow flag reaction emoji for Pride Month. A spokesperson for the company confirmed the news to Business Insider and explained why the Pride reaction is gone.

"We are no longer doing custom reactions for major holidays or moments in culture," Lisa Stratton told the newspaper.

Nevertheless, Facebook is still making sure its LGBTQ users can celebrate this month with its Pride filters and stickers. These features will exist throughout the entire year, too.

Business Insider points out some Facebook users noticed a change with holiday-related emojis on Mother's Day earlier this year. Last year, Facebook created a Mother's Day "flower" reaction button but it didn't show up this year.
